Cartridge Remanufacturing Process
- Verify if the empty cartridge is remanufacturable
- Complete disassembly of the cartridge. During this process, the cartridge is being thoroughly cleaned and all the components are inspected.
- Worn, damaged, or end of life-cycle components are replaced
- Replace the old drum with an extended-life drum. All drums are tested (conductivity testing, eddy current testing, polishers and microscopic visual inspection).
- Qualified developer (mag roller) is cleaned.
- Primary charge roller (PCR) is either replaced or re-coated (if qualified). This component is also tested
- Wiper blade, doctor blade, sealing blade and seal are cleaned, inspected and coated, or replaced.
- The hopper is filled with new toner by automated filling machine to capacity. The hopper is weighed.
- All necessary new parts are added
- Each completed cartridge undergoes a quality control process. During this process, a cartridge may be rejected and sent back for rework.
- Qualified cartridge is placed in a light proof bag and heat sealed and securely packaged.
